Guidelines - Teacher Search
Using this function allows you to proactively search for teachers who have made their profiles available to schools.
To use this tool, you must first have registered.
To use this tool you must a minimum of one field only. However, this will provide a wide search.
Having undertaken your search – you can narrow or widen search by reviewing the input into the different fields
Complete the form as follows:
Available from – if you need someone in one month or less, click one month, etc. If you want someone within 2 months click one month + 2 months. To search for all candidates regardless of when they are available do not click anything or click All.
Experience – again you do not have to complete, or you can click All. You can also make multiple selections eg if minimum is 5 years then select 10 years + more than 10 years
Location – insert your location
Level of school – insert most appropriate – you can make multiple selections eg an Area school might select primary + secondary
Type of school – select the most appropriate
Gender – select as appropriate
Subject specialism – you can make multiple selections. If the subject specialism is not included then choose those areas most closely aligned – let us know if there are subjects missing or which require better specification.
Job type – select the job type that you want to search on
Type of Employment – choose as appropriate
Hours of work – choose as appropriate
Submit – click and you will see your search results.
Search Results
If there are no results or insufficient results, go back and widen your search.
Your search results will show a series of mini profiles.
By clicking on the first line of a candidate you will be taken to a more comprehensive Profile of that person. By returning to the summary page you can invite a candidate to submit an application or some other message by clicking Invite to submit application. You can then write a message explaining process and inviting the person apply for a particular job or simply invite them to make contact with you.
